I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

I'd really like this feature too.  It would be very useful to be able to type notes on an image.

When making tutorials from screenshots for my job, I would find it incredibly helpful to have arrows and text boxes available to put directly into emails.

It would be very helpful if one could add text to a snip and sketch rather than free form writing something.  Is that possible?

    Josh,

Your request has been asked and asked in this and other Microsoft forums - and all we get for such a simple feature request is an acknowledgement that the feature (adding text to a snip) does not exist (really?) in the form of a 'form letter' reply and then they ask us to request the feature.  As if that makes much sense.

It's such a simple, smart request for a needed feature (that seems really simple for a programmer to add) and we get no interaction from Microsoft - so don't hold your breath. :-)

But I am glad others are asking.

    Roger
