I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

Could you have your developing team go to this hub instead? Seems like it's easier for them to see a thread with 50+ replies for the same feature, rather than asking 50+ users to enter the same "feature request." Got to support your end users now.

its amazingly shortsighted by MSFT to still not have the text box capability in Snipping tool or Snip & Sketch.  Cmon people - wake up!

    Hi Mdingel61,

Thanks that is brilliant - just downloaded FastStone and tried it for a couple of minutes - seems great.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    Cheers, Martin

I think you should check out the Evernote annotation tool, or Microsoft should license or buy it from them. It is amazing & exactly what is needed for Snip& Sketch.
