I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

Nikhar Khare

As an IT Professional - working on many Win 10 systems a day often requires a snip with a comment - for myself or the user.

As an IT professional I'm surprised you haven't heard of Snagit. Check them out -> https://www.techsmith.com/screen-capture.html

Capture, record, add text, arrows, pre-made stamps (mouse pointers, gestures, etc). Not affiliated with them at all, it's just a really helpful piece of software.

    Hi Nikhar,

Isn't it your job to deliver feedback as you receive it? Very few people will go to this next step if they feel you have a responsibility to do it.

It's value is doubled by the addition of this feature, otherwise snipping tool and Paint were better anyway.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
