Snip & Sketch add a text box

I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Settings

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

    so the official answer is "we did not make this extremely obvious and necessary feature, thereby making the whole product relatively useless." got it!

    I can guarantee, I am one of millions that would like to have text boxes available on snip and sketch.  Please dont let us down.  It is such a valuable tool and comes out of the box in Windows 10.  Thank you :)

    It seems that often Microsoft software engineering, management, and/or marketing are devoid of common sense.  OR ELSE they are deliberately holding back on things they know users want in order to benefit or not impact a competitor product.

    This reply from the moderator is an example of that a) obliviousness, b) polite but callous disregard, or c) total incompetence.

    Why do we even have to ask for this?  They have so overloaded Word, Excel and PowerPoint with so much **** buried in opaque menus that you need to take a community college level course or gain equivalent experience to learn how to use it.  Then they take something we can use every day several times a day, and just sit on it as if waiting for it to hatch new features everyone wants.

    This company has always had a mind-boggling disregard for the average user's needs while catering to every whim requested by large corporate customers.

    Having used MSFT since DOS, and living with their stiff-arming way of steering customers where they want them to go, I can say with some conviction that 'WinDos' is the most successful computer virus ever launched on the world since they stole the ideas from Xerox PARC.

    Silicon Valley and Redmond need a shakeup, and it is surely coming.
