I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

Try Greenshot.  I agree it's a shame Snip & Sketch doesn't have the simple functionality of a text box, but my workaround has been to use Greenshot.  It's free/open source and I've experienced no problems using it.

Thanks, I will. Didnt know it existed. I sure appreciate the recommendation!

Really disappointing that adding text/arrows/shapes STILL hasn't been implemented within Snip & Sketch. This was brought up over a year ago. Why this wasn't included at launch is beyond me...pretty basic functionality.

What are you guys doing over there at Microsoft?
