I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

This seems so obvious. The paint and photoshop workaround is annoying because then I have to remember to delete the file every time.

I am a remote teacher and I use the snip and sketch all the time, having to use multiple programs just to take a screenshot add markup then text is incredibly frustrating and takes valuable time from the class.

Definetly need to be able to access the kb to add typed notes.  I dock my Surface Pro and want to type notes on screen captures nearly every day.

TechSmith has an app that allows this.  Until MS can provide similarly, Snip & Sketch is sitting on the bench for me.  :(

    snipaste

I gotta say, I just tried both Greenshot and Snipaste, and definitely more of a fan of Snipaste. Love the extremely to use interface.
