I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

    Thanks Matt

Ive just downloaded this.  It looks like everything Snip & Sketch 'should' be .

    Thanks Man

Heck yeah man! You'll really like it. I actually like Snipaste better than the built in tools on MacOS. I do a lot of 3D modeling, and the Pin to screen function has been super handy.

    Dear Nikhar,

It's been a long time since this thread started. I would like to start by appreciating your effort providing a solution to this issue, however it does not work for me and I am pretty sure it does not work for a large amount of users. I do not have the Feedback Hub installed on my computer and I cannot install it because of the restrictions set by the administrators of my network.

I do not believe is a good strategy to create a software that does not provide the minimum expected requirements, it's a waste of resources. It is consuming memory, hard drive space, and specially time.  I am pretty sure this frustration is also happening at Microsoft end because nobody will use the software after investing resources for its development, and it gives an even worse image to the company because there is no feedback, no clear resolution and the frustration is expanded because customers do not feel heard. The company would be in a much better position if the software had never been released.

So basically I am asking you to please post my comment in the Feedback Hub so it can be noticed by a higher person in hierarchy of the organization that can actually do something about this. Basic request is to include the functionality of adding text to the Microsoft "Snip & Sketch" tool.

Thank you for reading this comment.

I think Microsoft has made it loud and clear they will not be adding any new features to Snip and Sketch.

I would HIGHLY recommend downloading Snipaste to replace it. It’s super easy to use and offers so much more functionality. You’ll all thank me later :D
