Snip & Sketch add a text box

I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Settings

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

    Let's be honest ...

    For 2 plus years Microsoft has made no effort to engage with any of us on this conversation - with the closest 'reply' being we should 'transfer this request to the Feedback app'.

    It's an obvious need (adding Text to Snip tools) ... but appear to be NO Microsoft ears here ...

    Microsoft:

    Snip & Sketch is worthless without the ability to add text. However, I can use Paint.

    Please add an alpha channel to the Snip & Sketch text box, so the text background box does not occlude the image.

    You make HoloLens and XBox. Please remember usability of low-level tools.

    If you are an independent user please support this initiative.

    This link will work for independent users but normally will not work for corporate users, access will depend on the settings provided by the administrator. This message is here just to support the idea to be able to add a text box to the snip &Sketch application.
