Snip & Sketch add a text box

Wow. Many years on I still do not have a simple annotation tool to add text. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE???? Snipping Tool and Snip and Sketch we never updated for this obvious flaw? Its completely useless without adding typed text! Litterally no testing before shipping!

Complete waste of time Microsoft! Noone who designed it tested it, or ever sought a single User Testing feedback?

2 years on and this very simple feature isn't available? Surely it's a no brainer...

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

 

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Nikhar, how is it 2021 already (2 years) and this simple option has yet to be added? This is a major inconvenience and yet another reason to ditch any/all Microsoft pre-installed apps.

I agree that a typing text is necessary with Snip & Sketch.
