I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

We need this feature! To add text I have to take the snip and put it into a different tool (MS Word, Publisher, etc.), then export it from there. This would be greatly beneficial to add simple text to a snip right in the tool. Thank you!

If the ability to add a small text box feature to Snip and Sketch, it would make the app even more useful in an office environment.

    Cheerrs,

Upvote add a text tool, it's ridiculous that this was overlooked.

Just add a text tool! And the following:

    • Arrow
    • Box
    • Circle

Here is what we need to do:

    Circle things

    Point at things

Write simple things (e.g. "Add text tool here")

It is time consuming, frustrating and looks very amateurish to try to write with a mouse cursor. Have a look at my example screen shot!

    Notes:

See Apple's Preview tool. One thing does what you need.

We don't need 5 different apps to mark up screen shots - we need one quick, default one that does these. basic. things.
