I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

Microsoft staff do not read or reply to these posts.

    Sure wish they did. :-(

    Try ShareX.

    Add a text box.

I use the snipping tool at work all day to show examples... examples need text. placing the text on the example is preferred. Please add a feature to type text, it's hard for me to draw words with a mouse.

    Microsoft has 'ghosted' this list.

They are not reading or replying to these posts (for 3+ years now).

A no-cost alternative to the built in Windows Snip & Sketch is 'ShareX'.

ShareX has a LOT of VERY useful features (some think too many?) but it's pretty slick.
