Snip & Sketch add a text box

I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

    typing text on screen shots is almost a must. Most everyone takes screen shots to make note and point out items on the captured screen. It is nice to be able to capture the screen. But this has been the same for so many years, before the name was changed. (It might have come out with windows vista I possibly.)

    So for many years I have always used other screen capture software.

    Most of the time people will put text right on the screen with out using a text box.

    Eventually, I am hoping this will be added, and catch up to the other software out there.

    You could try pasting the snipped image to MS Paint. That's a work around I'm used to. Might work for you as well.

    You would think so! Come on Microsoft this is much needed for my work, we cannot write a note on a snip with a mouse!
