I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

Greendot is the best answer - just replace the MS Snip tool, and all is good!

I too am unsubscribing from this post… Microsoft has zero customer service and is not worthy of our patronage.

Here's an idea: in MacOS sreenshots are opened by Preview, an app that does almost everything a officer use needs when it comes to viewing and basic editing of images and PDF, even adding a Signature!!! Buy a MAC, look at Preview, Copy it for Windows, Get rid of Snip & Sketch, Photos, and Paint.
