Snip & Sketch add a text box

I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Settings

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

    I also added a complaint to the Feedback Hub since this community thread seems to be ignored by Microsoft developers. Additionally, I just updated to Windows 11 and Snip & Sketch has turned back to Snipping Tool, and they have hidden the ruler in a menu so now it takes 2 clicks of the mouse to show/hide the ruler. How does that make sense? Very frustrating.

    Please can we get this quick text facility to add labels to images ASAP

    I'm still waiting this feature - if anyone in Microsoft is monitoring these threads - I would remind MS we all pay plenty of $££$£ for Microsoft 365 & need this actioned please.

    I am in visual effects at a rather high level and this is so fk close to what we need.

    This would be our #1 tool for revisions, but now it's photoshop which is a HUGE beast to do what snip and sketch can do, but without text, we have to not use this at all. Shame

    You have a near perfect review system for VFX to client/vendor notes if i can annotate correctly.  At least use the handwriting to text options, but somethinig to annotate.  

    You could also have option to open annotation in word from the menu.  you would at least give us an instant path to word as stopgap
