Snip & Sketch add a text box

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

To begin with Microsoft is sill for making something so useful un-useful obviously this kinda thing should be able to add text for when taking images and adding notes to them so simple, I was looking to add text to a reading so I can remember the subject line to my finding a disappointment. so sad in 2019 you have to get other applications just to add text.

The explanation is probably that someone at a high level meeting said - "we should include the ability to draw on screenshots to annotate them".  And this is exactly what was built - no more no less.

No one every thought about other use cases, even common ones such as people using devices without touchscreens.  The product then gets shipped after minimal testing, and rather than identifying common issues and obvious improvements Microsoft relies on the Feedback Hub because it is cheaper than employing UX and UI teams.

Better to take your screenshot and paste it into Paint.Net which allows much better editing options.

I agree with all the other contributors - it is a real pain that you cannot add typewritten notes.

I think it was obviously needed many years ago and it  is still on the to-do list is crazy.

Surely some-one at MS will get the message that it is a no brainer and cannot be that hard to provide.

It would make the snips look more professional and save having to do work-arounds like importing into Word.

HUGE ++1 on allowing for typing to be added to Snips for *professionalism*.

It seems like an obvious beneficial add along with simple arrows so we can show someone 'Step 1', 'Step 2.' etc.   Or for an client/executive to sign AND DATE 'here' (arrow points) on an email preview.
