Snip & Sketch add a text box

I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Settings

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

    inability to insert text is a significant short coming of snip and sketch IMO

    Yes, please add this helpful feature! I was trying to screenshot and mark up some notes, and it would have been a lot easier with being able to type into a textbox with the keyboard than trying to draw letters with the mouse lol

    I would also agree that a text box function would be extremely helpful in snip and sketch

    I am UTTERLY DUMBFOUNDED you left out some basic ways to mark up a snip with typing -- it's a braindead-obvious thing that should have been there ALL ALONG.  You say this is for marking up so ... why is it not there?  Not everybody is using some touchscreen device where they will scribble hand-written notes.  (Shakes his head and leaves the room.)
