Snip & Sketch add a text box

I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

    YES!  We need this simple option!

    As an IT Professional - working on many Win 10 systems a day often requires a snip with a comment - for myself or the user.

    The RULER in Snip & Sketch was a nice add (finally figured out how to rotate it with mouse button) but being able to add some text or simple circles and arrows would be SMART simple and NEEDED feature ... because now we need to hand draw circles and arrows .... or write with a mouse ... which looks armatureish or it requires us to copy and paste to another app.

    We are not looking for a full on 'paint' program, just some helpful features to highlight snips.

    My ask...

    Simple circles, ovals and rectangles (with thickness, transparency/fill and color settings ... similar to pen and pencil now in the tool)

    Simple Arrow

    Simple Lines (to show 'connections')  

    Simple text box - with transparency and border options (border color and thickness)

    You really need to include the option to be able to TYPE text.  Having to do it with a pen and a mouse makes it look like we are in preschool when sending snips to other people.  I often import them into photoshop to add my text to the screen shot I took. Other snipping programs allow you to add text, I never understood why Windows Snipping tool did not and now you improve it and call it a new name but do not add a text tool? This makes no sense to me.

    PLEASE ADD A TEXT TOOL SO WE CAN TYPE : )

    My work-around is to grab the snip, do any 'manual' edits like circling something, then paste into Word and add defined elements like text boxes and arrows.  Not as slick as a text box in S&S but workable.  I can then re-snip.
