HI there,

I have an HP Envy with Windows 10 and can't seem to get my webcam / camera to work.

It is not listed on the Device Manager list.

Thanks for the help.

    Hi there,

Ok so I got the Device Manager part to work - it showed it, I followed the steps, but the device didn't show up in the "manually install" part. Should I use the recommended part?

I downloaded the Envy Hardware Diagnostics tool - but not sure where the results will post on my system.

Sorry for all the questions - I'm supposed to be pretty good with computers... guess not.

Its fine with the questions we all learn that way select recommended if that doesn't find it,

Go through it again - When the option let me choose a driver to install comes up tick that method then  select all devices from the list and see if there's a bunch of HP drivers in it, there should be.

Hey, there - sorry had to focus on something else.

OK so I did the device manager part - with the manually install, and then tried with the automatically install - neither provided me with the model/manufacturer - just the word "model" and the option of "have disk". Sigh.

I do have a complete "backup" from when the computer was built - not sure if that's helpful.

    Thoughts?

Hey, there - sorry I should have mentioned - I did try that - but don't have "Local Users and Groups".

I believe I've been set up as the administrator??
