HI there,

I have an HP Envy with Windows 10 and can't seem to get my webcam / camera to work.

It is not listed on the Device Manager list.

Thanks for the help.

    Hi there,

Ok so I got the Device Manager part to work - it showed it, I followed the steps, but the device didn't show up in the "manually install" part. Should I use the recommended part?

I downloaded the Envy Hardware Diagnostics tool - but not sure where the results will post on my system.

Sorry for all the questions - I'm supposed to be pretty good with computers... guess not.

Its fine with the questions we all learn that way select recommended if that doesn't find it,

Go through it again - When the option let me choose a driver to install comes up tick that method then  select all devices from the list and see if there's a bunch of HP drivers in it, there should be.

Oh JP, this may also work, its what I did to get the DVD drive of mine to pick back up if you will humor me with it.

Go to admin tools in control panel, then select computer management, then select local users and groups. select users, then enable the built in administrator account. make sure there's no password in there. Or make one for it. then restart your PC and when the user screen comes up select administrator, wait a min then check device manager in the control panel

    Hi Mark

Thanks for this - model number - HP ENVY x360 Convertible 13-ar0xxx

I tried to get the Device Manager part done - but when I open it from the Action button I don't have the legacy hardware option listed - just "help".

Hi there, yes it will only show help until you click on your computer at the top of the device list then click action and it will show it
