Camera / Webcam not on device manager list - Windows 10

HI there,

I have an HP Envy with Windows 10 and can't seem to get my webcam / camera to work.

It is not listed on the Device Manager list.

    I have the problem with the built in camera and mic in my HP 15bs147nz.

    I couldn't find the drivers for my camera on official resources. The camera isn't showing in Device Manager.

    All the procedures described are not working.

    Pls help to resolve the issue

    I have had exactly the same problem with my camera (mic is ok).  My laptop is a HP Envy 15-j140na.  Very frustrating, have been trying to fix for a month but no solution!

    when I right click on camera there's no option to uninstall only scan for hardware changes and properites

    Hi there - I did this and now it's gone from the device list altogether.

    How do I get it back?

    I've restarted.

    I think you would have to go control panel, then to device manager, then view, then click on the box to "show hidden icons." However, I'm not a tech but that's what I had to do. My issue is different than yours. I'm needing help with something else altogether.

    im trying to add my camera bac in under device manager add hardware but there is no option to select from and I don't have a disk? any suggestions?
