HI there,

I have an HP Envy with Windows 10 and can't seem to get my webcam / camera to work.

It is not listed on the Device Manager list.

Thanks for the help.

    Hi again all

Any idea when this will be solved. I did a reset and nothing was resolved - still no cam, no USB3 and only one of two USB2s. So very frustrating that it is now 3 weeks and nothing has changed.

I have tried uninstalling updates - running into issues where the Start menu doesn't work!! Some updates wouldn't unistall - I got error messages.

When I did the reset I thought it would solve it, but I just ended up having to re-install all my programmes and reconfigure email.  Such a waste of my time.  I've lost out on work becasue of this.  I refuse to do a factory reset as I shouldn't have to - I didn't cause the problem!

    Any updates would be appreciated.

Hi Flynn, I too am frustrated, this had got me beat ATM. I spent 7 hours with a friend with the same issue and went through many procedures to rectify including reset to no avail.

my current installation wont even deal with cumulative update (KB4515384) on build 1903 same issue lies with USB failing and camera. Actually managed to get it to the point where says its installed and working correctly via settings and device manager, however the app says no its in use by another program which I resolved and still no joy.. I've tried my hardest to assist with this resolve but I am at a loss here, I will be jumping out of my pro build tonight to the insider build which I frequent to see if the fault remains. probably loss my full OS for a change and have to re-install, but I don't like being beat by technology at all. I will be monitoring each event through every install and update procedure. hopefully some kind of isolation will transpire, sorry I cant help further ATM.

Just so you know my frustration, windows says camera is setup, yet device manger says no

Then after that I mess around to get device manager to pickup the device, doesn't work via pick a driver myself then camera as it only shows USBvideo device. I need select all devices then Logitech Camera shows. Even Installs but to no avail. detect but black.

    Hi all

I tried the latest update today and still no fix - still no webcam being recognised, error message when I use the USB3 and one of the USB2s is not working.

I am so frustrated with Microsoft now.  I really need these devices and nothing seems to have been done to rectify the issues.  Do we have any idea when the issue will be solved?!

i have lenova pc i have the same problem

    Hi There,Patrica

Ive, been on this for days with many a user and have Just decided that removing windows updates since the problems occurred is the only current viable solution to rectify this as a temporary measure.

To all users having issues, this is what I've divulged.

This Update Failed to install constantly ATM and the troubleshooter says there's nothing to report

Checking back to when the errors started occurring

    Using Maintenance Archive Reports,

The reports allows us to know how many updates to remove as there's no one culprit ascertained! Although I will be removing one by one and trying re-installation of the drivers between each update uninstall.

So Pressing Windows + Pause Break To get the System Screen UP then Selecting Security & Maintenance from the bottom left and going back to the last clear date in the report - I Am going back to hear >>

When I click view all report problems, these still 6 issues that have to be resolved, so this procedure Is what I am doing. Please dont take this under advisement as a solution, Its my own temporary measure this this problems been rectified..

    Lets See how it goes.
