Sketchpad has completely disappeared from Ink Workspace

I have tried rebooting and turning Ink workspace on and off from settings and taskbar. It is only showing me Whiteboard and Fullscreen snip. Did Windows do away with sketchpad, forcing me to login with a Windows ID to use Whiteboard? Or is this a bug from a recent update? Or is there anything else I can try?

    I REALLY want Sketchpad back. Sure, not many people have used it but that's only because it's not discoverable. You have to right click on the taskbar and click on show Windows Ink Workspace and then you can click on the WIW icon and access it from there. 

    Whiteboard is NOT a replacement and requires you to log into a Microsoft account. 

    I cannot even uninstall that update anymore. It broke my workflow and I feel so sad. I'm so tired.

    That looks like it has concepts of "books" and "pages" and other unwanted cruft that makes it slow and difficult to use. Has anyone figured out how to extract Sketchpad and copy it manually forward?

    Thank you.  I'm testing the Autodesk Sketchbook.

    You might want to try MyPaint http://mypaint.org/about/

    I used this on a Mac a while back and it was pretty good.

    Then I've been using StylusLabs Write http://www.styluslabs.com/ on an Android for years and recently when I got the Surface Pro I started using the Windows version.  It is called a "word processor for handwriting" but if you have a page without lines it is pretty much like Sketchpad.

    The problem with both these programs is that I need our corporate IT overlords to allow their use.  Sketchpad was included in the OS so it was already there.  It would have been so much easier if they hadn't screwed with a good thing.

    I do agree that SketchPad should be still a choice.  Needing to logon to MS Account is foolish. As I think a teacher noted above, this may not even be possible in schools.  Installing new software is also difficult in institutional or business settings.  Microsoft, and many software manufacturers, fail to understand this.
