Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 KB4517211 (Causing HP Printer Spooler to Stop)

The Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 KB4517211 is causing the printer spooler service to stop and the installed printer is no longer recognized.  It is an HP Officejet Pro 8210 printer.  When I go into services.msc I can start the spooler and my printer then reappears but as soon as I try to print the spooler service stops.  If I uninstall update KB4517211, my printer again works.

Secondary Concern: I have temporarily halted windows updates to avoid KB4517211 from again downloading.  How to I stop this update from installing permanently since I will have to resume updates at some juncture.

    Yesterday I tried to delete the update from the Surface pro 4 and the Printer HP 8730 looks to work again

    But not on My PC envy. 

    Tried to delete the printer and reinstall it again

    And now I have alway the same error: No driver found!!!

    I'm becoming crazy!!!

    I have Type 4 printer drivers and a pair of Type 3 printer drivers. It appears what the security updates have affected is if you use your printer as a network printer. Many home users have gone to network printers too with the range of electronics they use. I'll be curious how Microsoft will fix this issue.

    Currently I'm using my OfficeJet Pro 8210 as a USB printer. I uninstalled then reinstalled the 8210 from the set-up disk. As such, I'm using the corresponding HP driver and not the 8210 UPD PCL 6 driver.

    It's only Type 4 drivers that are fouled up, and presumably not *every* make/model Type 4 printer driver is going bonkers, but enough of them to create all new headaches in the IT realm.

    One way to confirm which type you have is to use the Win+R key combo and paste this command into Run dialog:

    cmd /k wmic.exe path win32_printerdriver get name

    For each driver listed, you will see either  ,3, (Type 3) or ,4, (Type 4).

    Both our PC:

    HP envy 17 nl 205

    and Surface pro 4

    cannot print any more with HP 8730

    to print we have to print from Lumia 950 or Lumia 930 (for office)

    or print with google print

    or with android phones

    from pc is impossible to print
