2 days ago i upgraded my windows 10 to build 1903 , since then ,

randomly and during any activity (gaming , watching a video ..etc) ,

screen with the word "locking" in the middle appears for half a second and my laptop goes into sleep mode

and then i have to turn it on again

this never happened before the update , i tried to reset and fresh start but, nothing worked , and now i can't get back to previous build

what do i do ?

HELP , PLEASE

SOLUTION

Hey guys

So, I solved the issue (for me, at least) a long time ago but forgot to report back. My apologies

Basically,

Settings -> power and sleep -> additional power settings -> change advanced power settings -> battery

Then, change critical battery action and low battery action to do nothing both on battery and plugged in

I don't know if others already solved the problem In a different way, but i Hope that helps

Have a good day

    I have same issue

While working on window 10 suddenly got Blue screen with locking message in center of window and goes down.

Need to wake up again by press power button on laptop

When you press power button os goes through normal boot process but surprisingly It start from where os is left while locking like as snapshot

Trying to figure out since long time but not overcome at all.

Still happening every half an hour or hours

Sometimes works for 3- 4 hours but definitely os is locking while working.

Hello.  Did you find a fix?  I noticed you are using a laptop.  Do you keep the lid closed and use an external monitor?  I installed the windows 10 update, had issues, and then rolled it back.  Afterwards, my laptop was having the same issue "locking" and then hibernating which would require me to power on the laptop.  After about 6 times today, I inadvertently left the lid open, which I never do, but when I went to close it I immediately saw "locking" and then it hibernated.  I went to the power settings and noticed that the setting for closing the lid was set to hibernate.  I have always set this setting to do nothing because I use an external monitor for work.  Apparently, when the update was done the setting for what to do when the lid closed changed and I was unaware.  The setting didn't change back when I rolled back to the previous version.  I made the change to "do nothing" and so far so good.  I can't believe I didn't seek out that setting before which would have avoided a lot of frustration.  Hope this helps.

No, at the time I experienced this problem I was using the laptop monitor (lid open), and it happened at a random rate (sometimes frequently every 15 - 20 mins, something days). It just happened to me again 2 mins ago. I don't think it affects because of the lid and hibernation setting. And even when I use external monitor I always leave the lid open.

And you are using the original battery? Or has it been replaced?
