2 days ago i upgraded my windows 10 to build 1903 , since then ,
randomly and during any activity (gaming , watching a video ..etc) ,
screen with the word "locking" in the middle appears for half a second and my laptop goes into sleep mode
and then i have to turn it on again
this never happened before the update , i tried to reset and fresh start but, nothing worked , and now i can't get back to previous build
what do i do ?

So, I solved the issue (for me, at least) a long time ago but forgot to report back. My apologies
Basically,
Settings -> power and sleep -> additional power settings -> change advanced power settings -> battery
Then, change critical battery action and low battery action to do nothing both on battery and plugged in
I don't know if others already solved the problem In a different way, but i Hope that helps

I had the same problem Nov. 25 2019. I unplugged the power and phone plug to my wifi for 10 minutes and plugged both back in. No problem. Then I went to updates under settings and lo and behold a new update that was not automatically updated. Updated that. I also had a spyware on automatic timed scanning scheduled to shut down the computer afterwards. Stopped that. I think the unplugging wifi and uploading new microsoft update fixed the problem. Spyware schedule had nothing to do with it. So stop with all the nonsense of jumping through so many hoops people put on here. 😀
I unplugged the phone plug and piwer to my wifi for 10 minutes then plugged them back in. Then went to updates in settings and there was a mucrosoft update that had not automaticalky uploaded like the rest. Uploaded that and nomore problem. Is not my battery. Possible threat in my wifi or microsoft fix in the update.
I had thesame problem. I unplugged my wifi power and phone thing for 10 min. Then went to settings lokked at updates. Microsoft had an update that had not automatically updated. So I updated that. No more problem. I think bug in wifi or microsoft fixed this problem with the update that did not automatically update. I hope this fixes your problem.
It's a concern because there is no message "Locking" that I have seen in WIndows 10, and the only way to lock is to use the Lock button in Sign Out options from your Profile link above the Start button, which essentially puts up the Lock Screen to force signing in again.
Look through Settings > Apps > Apps & Features list to see if there's anything installed for Locking the screen.
Did you run full scan with Download and install Malwarebytes from https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ ?
Then check System files for damage by running System File Checker from https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-use-sfc-scannow...
I gave you every other thing possible for locking, sleeping, suspending the screen and none of those were engaged.
I believed you are asking for the picture of this screen? Sorry for the blurry image because this screen appeared really fast like half a sec so I have to record with my phone and cut it out from the clip. But this is technically what happened to me and everyone.
I'm sorry but it's a little strange to see even a Windows MVP like you haven't seen this screen before.
