Windows locking into sleep mode

2 days ago i upgraded my windows 10 to build 1903 , since then ,

randomly and during any activity (gaming , watching a video ..etc) , 

screen with the word "locking" in the middle appears for half a second and my laptop goes into sleep mode 

and then i have to turn it on again 

this never happened before the update , i tried to reset and fresh start but, nothing worked , and now i can't get back to previous build 

what do i do ?

So, I solved the issue (for me, at least) a long time ago but forgot to report back. My apologies

Basically,

Settings -> power and sleep -> additional power settings -> change advanced power settings -> battery

Then, change critical battery action and low battery action to do nothing both on battery and plugged in

I don't know if others already solved the problem In a different way, but i Hope that helps

    Removing the battery resolved this issue for me.

    As did booting up in Safe Mode.

    Freshly setup refurbished Dell Vostro1540 with dead battery. No issues during the week or so I was setting it up for a customer.

    The issue seems to have begun after a recent Windows update.

    Thanks to all for a working temporary solution

    Reading through all of these responses, it looks like its all laptop issues.

    My issues is with a Lenovo all in 1 desktop. I leave my computer unattended for 1 minute and it goes into lock if I'm not moving my mouse or watching a video...

    Thanks for the quick reply Greg. 

    The strange thing is that everything was working fine with this charger until I run out of battery. I think I need to buy the original one, but I can also try your other suggestions.

    Try removing the battery to see if anything is different.  It should not matter to whether it Locks or not. You can also use the actual charger for that make and model laptop as it may be more specific than the one you're using.  These need to be exact, and buying a knock-off rarely works out well.
