hello everybody,
I do not understand why you are continuing to discuss about this subject:
- it is clear that there is a bug in the import function of Microsoft Photos,
- this "freeze" problem, again, is not specific to iPhones or iPads: there are some additional difficulties
due to HEIC and HEVC formats introduced by Apple, but solutions are known. Again, you may get the
freeze with a Corean or Chinese Android smartphone, or with a Japanese camera...
- it is clear that Microsoft should solve this problem as soon as possible, and it is difficult to understand
why this problem has not yet been solved…
But, you can live with that… There is a problem in Photos, but there are 2 other ways to import your photos and, on may 24 (page 37), "Gelatinous_Blob" gave you the URL of a "Complete Guide to Importing Your Photos in Windows 10"
Personally, I have always used "Import Photos and Videos manually using File Explorer", but I have discovered in this post **"**Importing Pictures and Videos wizard". I tested it, and it works...
We know that third method, "Importing using the Photos App", currently, does not work.
For your info: I have found in french Feedback Hub a subject, "Photos App is having issues importing photos from USB devices", where Simon W, Microsoft engineer, wrote "We are investigating this issue and will post an update soon". He wrote that one month ago…
Nobody knows what "soon" means.
