Photos app freezes upon import / photo importing problems

Hello, I was trying to import photos from my iPhone via charging cable and upon import the photo app freezes. I reset my phone and tried again and it worked for the first import but another problem is that I can only upload 3-4 videos at a time before the photos app says something went wrong and I have to start the whole process all over again. Because of this, when I go to import again it just freezes once it hits my total photo and video count. This problem has been persistent ever since I started uploading photos and videos this past year or two and it really hinders my progress. Thanks for any help.

    You can try the following:-

Rest your photo app, go to

Settings -> Apps -> MS Photos -> Advanced -> Reset

Then connect your device. You might need to click Try Again a few times.

If that does not work and you are trying to download from an iPhone then you could try this:-

stop Apple Mobile Device service, restart it, restart computer and it now does work.

Here is the link to carry out the procedure https://www.thewindowsclub.com/cant-import-photos-iphone-windows-10-pc

If that does not work then try CCleaner as suggested by a poster a  few posts earlier.

Agree. I'm past frustrated with this.  I tried it all, I reckon my hours wasted would pay for a Mac Computer to work properly with my iPhone. That would solve it!
