Photos app freezes upon import / photo importing problems

Hello, I was trying to import photos from my iPhone via charging cable and upon import the photo app freezes. I reset my phone and tried again and it worked for the first import but another problem is that I can only upload 3-4 videos at a time before the photos app says something went wrong and I have to start the whole process all over again. Because of this, when I go to import again it just freezes once it hits my total photo and video count. This problem has been persistent ever since I started uploading photos and videos this past year or two and it really hinders my progress. Thanks for any help.

    if you are talking about Windows 10 reset, you have and option to delete everthing or to keep your personal files and just install the OS and then you install the apps back that you want. Hope this helps.

    I'm so frustrated... been dealing with the same problem for 2 years... ready to throw this new PC in the garbage and go buy a MAC. Did you ever get the problem fixed on your PC?

    Did this do anything to your existing photos on your PC? It didn’t delete anything by hitting the reset button?

    Nope, they are all there.

    hey guys,  thanks for all your precious ideas for workarounds so far. Always a pleasure to read about a glimpse of hope which is then negated again two posts later.  Hope you don't mind if I stopped trying  :-)

    (Fact is that Apple advises users to use the Windows Foto App to sync pictures from iPhone. )

    But Why does iTunes for Windows only support export of files from PC to the device?

    I think the both brands do not like us to save pictures to our local storage anymore.
