Hello Greg,
I'm so sorry for the late response, I've been incredibly busy with school so I had just now tried your suggestions. I regret to inform you that none of them worked. I had re-installed iTunes to get the Apple Mobile Device service that I had not had before
but that didn't help. I just updated windows a couple minutes ago and to no avail. I've reset my iPhone again and my computer for good measure and nothing. I changed USB ports multiple times. I did everything you suggested above, but my problem still prevails.
I had attempted to move away from the photos app and instead try to retrieve the photos and videos from my apple device driver under "This PC." I finally saw my photos and videos, but upon attempting to open them, I was presented with this error.
"Can't play. Please try again. If the problem continues, visit https://support.microsoft.com to check for guidance. 0x80070141"
Even though my photos and videos are either JPEG, PNG, MOV or CR2 files, Windows refuses to open them. Now I'm just stuck.
Again, sorry for the late response. I appreciate you taking the time to read my question in September.
