Hello, I was trying to import photos from my iPhone via charging cable and upon import the photo app freezes. I reset my phone and tried again and it worked for the first import but another problem is that I can only upload 3-4 videos at a time before the
photos app says something went wrong and I have to start the whole process all over again. Because of this, when I go to import again it just freezes once it hits my total photo and video count. This problem has been persistent ever since I started uploading
photos and videos this past year or two and it really hinders my progress. Thanks for any help.

Hi,
I had the same problem with my iphone 6s and windows 10. I try not to update my iphone software if I can help it, because I always have some problem or other afterwards which drives me nuts! I hadn't updated the software for about a year, but thought my
phone wasn't working properly because I hadn't updated for so long (frustratingly it actually turned out to be a problem with the 3 network crashing!)
Up until I downloaded the latest iphone update I had no problem with my phone downloading photos and videos to my PC. But since then, no matter what I tried, I could not import any new photos or videos I took after the software update. I spent the best part
of an entire weekend trying to do this, and tried every solution I could find on the internet. Every time it appeared to find the photos but froze and wouldn't show me the photos. This evening I finally cracked it!I think the freeze has to do with the folder
you've selected to save the photos in (or that your PC has defaulted to).
- Plug your phone into your computer and give it a few minutes (you may have to unplug and plug it back in again if your computer can't read it).
- Click on your 'This PC' icon to show your devices and drives
- Right click on the iphone icon
- Select 'import pictures and videos'
- Select 'import all new pics'
- Click on 'more options'
- Choose the folders you want to save your photos and videos into (I did NOT save them in the windows photos or videos albums - I saved them on my D:Drive)
- Click on 'OK'
- Enter a name tag and then 'Import'
I hope this works for everyone! Downloading your photos to your PC shouldn't be this hard!!!
