Photos app freezes upon import / photo importing problems

Hello, I was trying to import photos from my iPhone via charging cable and upon import the photo app freezes. I reset my phone and tried again and it worked for the first import but another problem is that I can only upload 3-4 videos at a time before the photos app says something went wrong and I have to start the whole process all over again. Because of this, when I go to import again it just freezes once it hits my total photo and video count. This problem has been persistent ever since I started uploading photos and videos this past year or two and it really hinders my progress. Thanks for any help.

    Yes, i also approve that it started to work, currently i`am in process of import, but i have restarted my laptop, connected iphone twice and MS Photos discovered all photos.

    Windows 10 pro ver 2004 build 19041.388 

    12181 items imported without problems

    Well, a miracle has happened. It now works for me - I have just imported >9000 photos and videos without a hiccup.

    There were two Win10 cumulative "Quality" updates installed on 7/14. I will be honest and say that I haven't tried to run Photos for several weeks, but whether those updates or a new version of iTunes, I don't know, but patch up and give it a try.

    FYI, I am running Win10 Pro x64 Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.388) and iTunes version 12.10.7.3

    Hey Guys,

    what I found is that by using a 3rd party app all went ok. I am using a trial version from EaseUS MobiMover. Download link below:

    Now, I can t do it once per month with the trial version but it works.
