I have the same problem. Trying to import to OneDrive from an external hard drive. It freezes when I try to choose import all or new ones. I can only import manually and that is too tedious with photos ranging back 10 years. I was hoping for a fast solution.
Photos app freezes upon import / photo importing problems
Hello, I was trying to import photos from my iPhone via charging cable and upon import the photo app freezes. I reset my phone and tried again and it worked for the first import but another problem is that I can only upload 3-4 videos at a time before the photos app says something went wrong and I have to start the whole process all over again. Because of this, when I go to import again it just freezes once it hits my total photo and video count. This problem has been persistent ever since I started uploading photos and videos this past year or two and it really hinders my progress. Thanks for any help.

2020-08-28T19:24:29+00:00 The freezing problem has gone away and my photos will upload. However, the next upload of photos will upload all photos from my iphone (latest ios, itunes and win 10 pro updates applied) even when selecting to import only new photos.
To me a good partial fix, but the photos functions still aren't fully fixed. Anyone have ideas on a fix?
