Your Phone app shows duplicate sent messages

I just switched to Google Messages.  So far so good.

How do i get off of this thread? it says i can go to the questions and select the ellipses and unsubscribe, but no ellipses and way to unsubscribe that i can see. 

none of the suggestions for quite some time are what i was wanting, namely stoping duplicates of the programs i wanted to use. switching to another may stop duplicates but i wanted a fix for YourPhone App (and have never used Samsungs messaging client.) Plus, until YourPhone is able to send to multiple recipients, there is no way i can use it. Not to mention the rich text features that Android Messages has. just wanted YouPhone to be a player, but c'set la vie.

This is (potentially) great news -- my only concern is bothering the recipients of my messages and, if they're not getting the duplicates, then seeing duplicates in (only) my app is fine.

Unfortunately, my wife confirmed that she does get the duplicates that the app sends (as proven when I looked at her phone), so I have to believe that my other recipients are getting them, too.

I'm afraid I don't know.  I have a thoughtbut, even if that's how you became "subscribed" (for lack of a better word), I'm not sure how to stop it:

As I'm writing this reply to your post, there's a pre-checked box at the bottom that says "Notify me when someone responds to this post".  I suspect that's why you're getting updates -- at some point, you posted here and the box was checked, so you're seeing updates.  As for how you undo that... well, I'm rather baffled.

I am posting a reply, where i can turn off the notify, in hopes it will work. good idea :)
