Your Phone app shows duplicate sent messages

My Your Phone app is duplicating messages sent, sporadically. This has been happening the past few days. Windows and Your Phone apps have been updated. The duplicates are appearing in my Android texting app (Textra) as well. I have used Pulse, Google Messages, and Samsung Flow previously w/o this occurring.

Windows 10 Pro 1903

Android Pie, standard, non-rooted ROM

    Hey Geo,

    That sounds like a good idea, and I hope it works for you.  I switched from my Samsung's built-in Android messaging app to Google's messaging app, and have been using it as the default; while there was a short period of time when the duplicates stopped, I'm sad to say that they still continue, with (seemingly) no rhyme or reason.

    Either way, please keep us posted -- more info is always better!

    I was using an LG phone, never had this problem, and upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy s10 when this started happening.  It turned out to be Samsung's messages app.  I switched to Google's messages app and the problem went away immediately.

    Too bad its not an acceptable solution.

    I'm used to app that I used for last 2-3 years. And it works just fine. I won't change it just because some other new app doesn't work. Still not using this app. Its features are very limited, or doesn't work as it should be.

    Just thinking about switching from andoid to iphone, so it would work fine with my mac. Then I could switch to osx as my main os, and trash this windows ****.

    Thanks for that info!

    From what I've been seeing here (and other reports around the internet), this seems to be isolated to Samsung phones.

    Your proposed solution to use the Google Messages (as the default) instead of the (built-in) Samsung Messages seems good, and I thought I'd done that; however, when I check the settings for my Samsung Messages app, it says that it used 1.5MB (on average) over the last 3 hours.  So, obviously, if it's not being used, then why is it using data?

    I'll see what I can do to investigate this further.
