Your Phone app shows duplicate sent messages

My Your Phone app is duplicating messages sent, sporadically. This has been happening the past few days. Windows and Your Phone apps have been updated. The duplicates are appearing in my Android texting app (Textra) as well. I have used Pulse, Google Messages, and Samsung Flow previously w/o this occurring.

Windows 10 Pro 1903

Android Pie, standard, non-rooted ROM

'Advisors', please don't ask me to run scannow or complete a repair install...thanks.

    Hey @Wayne (live.com#ankonaskiff17)"),

I'm glad you're able to warn others about potential Bluetooth problems they may encounter; as we've all found, different users have different experiences, and it's good to have a group of people (us!) who are here to help.

I should note that not all users will "see" the same (Win10) "Your Phone", and that goes for all facets of it.  For example, I have Win10 1909 (build 18363.836) paired to a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (running the Samsung provided Android 8.0).  Using the app, I can neither see nor control the phone's screen, nor does it use any Bluetooth connectivity; however, from what I've seen, later Samsung phone models allow you to do things that the "lesser" models (such as mine) don't.

In my case, my solution was to keep the phone's WiFi off (when sending messages through the Win10 app), but obviously there's more to it than just that (depending on your exact hardware, OS, etc).

Best to all -- stay safe and sane!

    Dave

I know longer have any issues with duplicate texts on phone. I've had wifi enabled for probably a month now with no duplication.

I had some major problems with Bluetooth on laptop which frankly I attribute to Your Phone as it uses Bluetooth connectivity in some fashion to link the two devices.

KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR BLUETOOTH ON COMPUTER!!

Not having issues with duplication with wifi turned on, on phone anymore.

Been running with wifi enabled on phone prettty much continuously for a week or better with no duplicates.

Definitely a work in progress. For a stretch there I could copy an image from computer and paste in to Your Phone app which was real nice bu that quit a while back. Now have to save as image then use the image insert icon at bottom to load image to Your Phone app.

It pastes an empty like carriage return on phone. I t does still copy test from say a website to Your Phone.

Latest issue for me is when I go out of Bluetooth range with phone and come back it can be a little flaky getting the phone and laptop to reconnect.

I'm in the MS Insider program and had downloaded a pre-release update to Win 10 and I'm pretty sure that corrupted my Bluetooth functionality on HP laptop. Had to update the HP  BIOS to get the Bluetooth back.
