I was using an LG phone, never had this problem, and upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy s10 when this started happening. It turned out to be Samsung's messages app. I switched to Google's messages app and the problem went away immediately.

My Your Phone app is duplicating messages sent, sporadically. This has been happening the past few days. Windows and Your Phone apps have been updated. The duplicates are appearing in my Android texting app (Textra) as well. I have used Pulse, Google Messages, and Samsung Flow previously w/o this occurring.
Windows 10 Pro 1903
Android Pie, standard, non-rooted ROM

Hi Geo,
Thanks for chiming in. Although not everyone mentions the manufacturer of their mobile device (i.e., phone), it seems that the ones who do are all using Samsung. If that's the case, then it seems reasonable to assume that it's something with Samsung's customized Android build.
But, right now, that doesn't really help anyone; all we can do is just work with it as best we can.
Good luck!
For all those who read (or follow) this area:
I've noticed that I no longer have this problem. It stopped happening a short while ago but, beyond a few days (weeks), I can't be certain. Are there any others out there who can confirm-or-deny that the duplicates have stopped?
Thanks -- Merry Christmas!
Dave
Update (26 December 2019):
I was wrong, the problem still exists; I guess I just had a few days where it accidentally worked correctly. :-(
I agree.
From my point-of-view, they're pulling (what I call) a "Yahoo!"...
Yahoo! mail has long been usable and good, until they started "improving" it. Now, it's become virtually unusable in many ways, and the forums are filled with people screaming bloody murder. But, instead of fixing (or even acknowledging) the problems, they just soldier on, blindly.
My only guess is that, when something is free, it doesn't have to work right (or even well).
If it helps, you have my sympathies. :-(
I totally agree. Just started using the app. And it seems like I can't. Double messages are not acceptable for me. I do have messenger app. But my default phone sms app is set as default for messages. Still, all messages sent from my pc are doubled... No answer or any help anywhere. Just posts like this one. Thats BAD.
