I'm with everyone else - there is no additional plus sign. The ONLY way to send a text (SMS or MMS) is to reply to a thread that already contains multiple people.

Hi,
I just downloaded and started using the Your Phone App. So far I like it, however, I can't figure out how to text multiple recipients on the same text. Am I missing something?

2019-10-24T08:21:34+00:00 It used to be possible to send to multiple users then stopped an few months back. I've stumbled on this Q&A looking for answers too. Microsoft can't say the feature isn't available, it used to be, fix it! Or is this another example of MS taking a backward step?

2019-09-29T22:02:45+00:00 You say you are an independent advisor but you clearly haven't grasped the problem, please don't reply to something if you don't have a valid solution. "Should" do something is not advice it's speculation. It doesn't work and takes away from the value of having a desktop based app. I will be deleting it!
