I have just updated to 1903, and have lost all sound. I have a Creative Audigy2 ZS Pro, yes, I know it's old, but it was working perfectly on build 1809.

After this 1903 update, no sound, so I went back to 1809, and hey presto, I got my sound back. I then tried the very latest 1903 build, but lost the sound again. Have MS got an answer? I will have to go back to 1809 if I want to hear anything, but can wait a day or so if anyone at MS can give me a solution.

    I have found a solution.

    BIG BIG THANK YOU !!!

    Wow... You're welcome!

FYI, after the latest *.NET update, had to repeat the process.

All apps in Creative suite function... maybe they'll stick this time (but not expecting them to).

    Cheers!.

so I installed the driver and the console as Per Bryan Hu post.  sound is back.   and the software was working till a reboot and now it looks like it works, but nothing actually changes in the graphics equalizer.  the sound remains the same.  would it help for me to uninstall it, and then reinstall it using the run as administrator.?   I mean, it was working ok, till I rebooted and then it happened.  but the sound is still good.  I don't really need the graphic eq.  as every other player has one these days anyway.  so it would be no sweat to just remove it and call the sound restoration a resounding success.

Qualifying note: I do not work for Microsoft, Creative or Revo. I'm an over-glorified end-user with some programming experience and a BSIT. I worked as a mechanical designer / project manager / before retiring. I've dealt with PC's since the 286 days in the mid-eighties... I've done much trouble-shooting with usually acceptable results.

PaddyER, have you run the System File Checker?

based on your having sound, Windows likes your card, IMO. However, there are apparent issues with your sound apps... May be some leftovers in the registry getting in the way of a clean install of the apps. You mightfare better with an uninstall application like Revo uninstaller to get after the leftovers...

If you're happy just having sound, great! Easy. I kept running around the block until I got lucky (see my previous post).

    Good luck!

    My issue is resolved.

My issue involved the Creative Sound Blaster Apps not functioning (particularly Wave Editor 7) under most recent Windows 10 build 1903. Windows x64 Pro, Audigy Rx sound card.

I rolled back to 1809 and still no functionality of the Creative apps.

I uninstalled the Creative drivers and apps completely, using Revo uninstaller.

Still running Win 10 1809, I attempted reinstall of Creative apps. The installer would hang at 79% (while installing drivers).

I repeated the uninstall of Creative products using Revo-tried installing again-same hang at 79%.

I used Windows admin shell to run SFC (system file checker), and found some corruption! This was a little hard for me to believe, having recently fresh installed and everything running smooth and up-to-date.

At this point, I ensured that Creative drivers and apps were completely off the system (again), even going through advanced mode with Revo Uninstaller, looking for any registry entries for Creative apps. Once satisfied, I re-installed Windows 10 build 1903. The process found the Sound Blaster card (Audigy Rx) and installed a driver for it automatically. System sounds were functioning OK, so I took the chance to install the Creative apps... everything works now as expected.
