update 1903 sound problem

I have just updated to 1903, and have lost all sound. I have a Creative Audigy2 ZS Pro, yes, I know it's old, but it was working perfectly on build 1809.

After this 1903 update, no sound, so I went back to 1809, and hey presto, I got my sound back. I then tried the very latest 1903 build, but lost the sound again. Have MS got an answer? I will have to go back to 1809 if I want to hear anything, but can wait a day or so if anyone at MS can give me a solution.

    good day to all!, 

    my pc was updated to 1903 version, after installation, pc got very slow to response & sometimes unresponsive at all until it will shut down. please to hear your kind advise on how to fix these problem. Thank you in advance.

    PC details Below:

    Windows Edition: Windows 10 Home Single Language

    System:

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.80 GHz

           RAM:  4.00 GB

    System Type: 64-bit OS, x64 based processor.

    PC Model: LENOVO ideapad 330S

    Same for Creative X-Fi Extreme Music cards... tried fresh install nothing... speakers sorta 'click' as if being pinged during boot but the card function is dead... windows seems to see a X-Fi product but is confused...

    this one worked for me perfectly 

    im running an

    xfi fatality pro champion series card

    and installing the first link driver done it for me 

    now everything is working again so can confirm it all running fine with this .. console everything 

    i use spdif and the asio and game modes etc and there all good 

    thank you sooooo much .. appreciate  it .. now i dont have too go back too the older windows i can stay on the 1903

    After updating to 1903 my Voicemail answering software no longer works. My USRobotics voice modem  no longer has voice functionality.  No longer a unimodem wav driver. After going back to 1809 everything is good. 

    This same thing apparently happened a few years ago when voicemail answering software lost all functunality in Windows 10 until Microsoft reintroduced the modem.sys wav driver months later. It caused so many headaches for so many people.  I SO miss good old windows 7..........

    I got Microsoft to admit theres a problem with the drivers and 1903. The representative said that hopefully either the manufacturers will push updated drivers or Microsoft will come up with a hot fix soon. Other than that I was given a 10 day option to roll back, which will render my Game Pass app unusable. :/
