Windows phone can't connect

I have tried to set up several phones but none of them will let me sign in to my Microsoft account. It just tells me "we Can't connect right now. Please wait a few moments and try again.

    I am using Samsung ATIV SE, running Windows 8.1, same problem. It isn't just Nokia devices!

    You should be able to download apps now. I am using windows 8.1 on lumia 520 & they are working now but hurry before another glitch appears before the 10th December. I doubt any apps will even be available to download after that. Good luck guys 😊

    Yes, there are two different problems, and this thread has now moved to a different problem from that for which I suggested a fix last May.

    Windows 10 apps can still be downloaded; I did so just a few days ago.

    I cannot speak for Windows 8, or help anyone with it, because I am no longer using it myself so I cannot go through the motions.
