When I try to access the Microsoft Store I get Error Code: 0x80131500     CV: 0H5MOZaq8Uye8k8W

I've tried wsreset.exe- no success

I've tried https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027498/microsoft-store-fix-problems-with-apps - no success

I've tried to reset my region, language, and speech - no success

I've deleted the contents of the download directory and the datastore directory in c:\windows\softwaredistribution - no success

Ideas?

Before you go through all of the Ultra-Geeky hassle (and possibly dangerous) methods above, try checking your Internet Security settings as outlined below:

Possible Fix:

Search for "Internet Options"

Open the App

Select the "Advanced" Tab

Scroll to the Bottom of the List where you can see "Use SSL/TLS"

UN-Select SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 and 1.1

SELECT TLS 1.2 and (If Available) TLS 1.3

Click "Apply"

Click "OK"

Reboot Computer

YMMV

Good Luck!

After trying a number of the things listed in this thread and others, sfc /scannow is what finally fixed it for me.

(specifically, #10 on this list https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_10-performance/windows-10-performance-and-install-integrity/75529fd4-fac7-4653-893a-dd8cd4b4db00 .  In turn, I got that pointer from this locked thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-store-cant-connect-code-0x80072efd-cv/ba56185d-67b9-4c3f-820b-a006ce1f7943 which is dedicated to a different Windows Store error that I was also getting.  I didn't go through every step in both lists.  After trying some items that had been marked as working for other people, I fell back to sfc /scannow, which has fixed various problems for me over the years.

sfc is also mentioned in these threads: https://forums.techguy.org/threads/microsoft-store-hangs-when-i-try-to-download-or-update-apps.1239863/ https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_store/microsoft-store-doesnt-think-im-online-but-i-am/c4aedff1-69a5-4d04-b34f-3c14cb4bf266 https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-10-store-still-not-able-to-connect-to/c80bfdbb-e965-4144-a5a1-7a4eebb4875f.  Other solutions to this and/or similar problems here: https://superuser.com/questions/1080919/windows-10-store-wont-connect-to-the-internet https://www.thewindowsclub.com/edge-store-apps-not-connecting-internet https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_store/microsoft-store-error-0x80072ee7-microsoft-store/03809cbc-6317-468f-b061-d3e1eecec043?page=2 .  And there's probably even more stuff out there, but those are the places I visited on the way to getting it working.

Between all that and the 292 people who clicked on the I-have-the-same-question button, you can see that you're not alone :-)
