When I try to access the Microsoft Store I get Error Code: 0x80131500     CV: 0H5MOZaq8Uye8k8W

I've tried wsreset.exe- no success

I've tried https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027498/microsoft-store-fix-problems-with-apps - no success

I've tried to reset my region, language, and speech - no success

I've deleted the contents of the download directory and the datastore directory in c:\windows\softwaredistribution - no success

Ideas?

Before you go through all of the Ultra-Geeky hassle (and possibly dangerous) methods above, try checking your Internet Security settings as outlined below:

Possible Fix:

Search for "Internet Options"

Open the App

Select the "Advanced" Tab

Scroll to the Bottom of the List where you can see "Use SSL/TLS"

UN-Select SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 and 1.1

SELECT TLS 1.2 and (If Available) TLS 1.3

Click "Apply"

Click "OK"

Reboot Computer

YMMV

Good Luck!

    Hi

Like you I tried everything, was on the verge of giving up, then came across this and IT WORKED!

        Change Your DNS Settings:

    1. Open the Run dialog box by pressing Windows logo key + R key together. Then type “ncpa.cp l” in it and click OK.
    2. Now that the Internet Connection window is open, double-click on your active Network Adapter.
    3. Then click Properties and double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
    4. Locate and click "Use the following DNS server addresses" option.
    5. Set Preferred DNS server to be 8.8.8.8
    6. Set Alternate DNS server to be 8.8.4.4            Note: That’s Google’s public DNS server addresses.
    7. Now try to install Windows Updates again.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Hope this will end your frustration, I lived with this problem for months, Microsoft not helpful at all

A combination of all the first page steps, changing my internet advanced options allowing TLS 1.1 and 1.2 and setting my router to use Google's Domain Name Server (DNS) fixed the problem.

Upon further testing, your wireless adapter in your PC may direct traffic to automatically obtain an DNS address (even though you have it set to when using the MS specifically).

    Getting ready for PS2O.

Thank you for all of you guys's diligence.

    Hi All,

I have read all posts and tried every possible solution including the ones posted originally, setting up the internet options, the IPv4, and setting up the region. Unfortunately, no luck.

Right now, I cannot use any apps from the MS app store including the store itself. I do agree with many of you that this could be an internet problem because when I try to login with another account in the store app it would get me a connection error.

I'm having the windows build 1909 now.  Any other suggestion I can try to solve this?
