So I'm having a bit of a weird issue. I've installed windows 10 on a few computers before and have never run into this until now. I recently bought an ssd to boot my OS from, but running the install media usb doesn't seem to work right. I only used windows 10's install media tool. I should also mention I only have a keyboard, mouse, monitor and the install usb plugged in.
I created the usb (twice now), then shut my pc off, removed the existing hdd, then plugged in the ssd and the usb with the install tool on it. I boot into setup, make sure the drive is all unallocated space, and then hit new. I let it create the necessary partitions and then click next. I've also tried just clicking next with a totally blank ssd.
The setup tool runs normally, prompts a restart which is when I remove the install usb, if I don't remove the usb then it loops back to the installer again. When I remove the usb and then restart though, my pc prompts me to insert boot media into the drive and press any key. It doesnt seem to actually install the necessary files to download and install windows 10. No matter what I do, after the install media tool finishes and causes a restart I cannot continue with the installation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know it isn't a problem with another component because plugging in the original hard drive works fine. I've also plugged both drives in and scanned for errors on the ssd to no avail. I checked and there are files being installed on the ssd. It seems to work normally otherwise so I dont think it's a bad drive either.

From what you just posted I can see a problem with how you selected the SSD as the boot device...
WindowsBootManager will not appear until after the restart that is failing, so when the restart fails is when you need to go back in and find the WindowsBootManager"..
It's possible that my old HDD isn't set up using uefi. This is an older motherboard so it could require a legacy mode drive. Although I have uefi bios so you'd think that it is uefi compatible.
If so though, why when using the legacy installer i recieve the error "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu." The legacy instalI usb also recognized the ssd, but when selecting it says that error. I've set things to default and everything is enabled but it still doesn't work.
Using the uefi drive I can install windows just fine until I get to the issue I'm having. I get further than with the legacy mode so I assumed that is the proper one to use. I have also made sure that no other drives are plugged in at all.
Even after the failed restart though, windows boot manager is not an option I can choose. I only have the ssd, the uefi usb and the normal usb. How would I find it if it doesn't appear in my boot list?
Did you Update the firmware then reset it to Optimized defaults?
Did you wipe the SSD with Clean Command also given but not confirmed done?
Enter Setup to report back present settings and all other choices for UEFI, CSM or Legacy, Secure and Fast boot, Boot Priorit order. Pictures can help.
Also as a test change the settings to UEFI disabled, CSM or Legacy BIOS enabled, SSD set first in boot priority order. Then boot to media as a plain flash stick. I had asked for this to be done earlier but don't remember seeing a response to that either.

You will get a hardware error of some type trying to select "Legacy" if your SSD has already been set as a "GPT" drive...
You will also get an error attempting a Legacy installation using UEFI Installation Media...
This stuff is not compatible with each other...
When UEFI machines were introduced, they no longer use a "drive" as a boot device...
They use a "File" on the EFI partition...
As I mentioned about RUFUS... It has options for either UEFI Bios or Legacy.. Although it does not call it "Legacy"...
For Legacy you need to select a "MBR" drive and NTFS file system...
The UEFI uses "GPT" drive and FAT32 file system...
Here is an image of RUFUS for Legacy...
If you have UEFI options in your Bios, then you should be able to use it to install Windows...
I am using a 6-7 year old Asrock motherboard myself... I normally run Legacy Bios, but it switches to UEFI quite easily...
It actually automatically switches the type of bios it uses based on the configuration of the bootable installation media...
BTW... Is this a Samsung SSD running on a AMD motherboard by chance ?
