Windows installer doesn't work?

So I'm having a bit of a weird issue. I've installed windows 10 on a few computers before and have never run into this until now. I recently bought an ssd to boot my OS from, but running the install media usb doesn't seem to work right. I only used windows 10's install media tool. I should also mention I only have a keyboard, mouse, monitor and the install usb plugged in.

I created the usb (twice now), then shut my pc off, removed the existing hdd, then plugged in the ssd and the usb with the install tool on it. I boot into setup, make sure the drive is all unallocated space, and then hit new. I let it create the necessary partitions and then click next. I've also tried just clicking next with a totally blank ssd.

The setup tool runs normally, prompts a restart which is when I remove the install usb, if I don't remove the usb then it loops back to the installer again. When I remove the usb and then restart though, my pc prompts me to insert boot media into the drive and press any key. It doesnt seem to actually install the necessary files to download and install windows 10. No matter what I do, after the install media tool finishes and causes a restart I cannot continue with the installation. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know it isn't a problem with another component because plugging in the original hard drive works fine. I've also plugged both drives in and scanned for errors on the ssd to no avail. I checked and there are files being installed on the ssd. It seems to work normally otherwise so I dont think it's a bad drive either.

    I disabled port 5 and enabled port 1. Still nothing. Tried port 2 as welI after that just to be safe. I also checked the directkey options and the only other one is to disable the button. That didnt let it boot either.

    I built this computer myself years ago so I know there is no drive in port 5. It may have once been my CD drive, which should have been drive 2 since it is in the 2nd slot, but that has been long since disconnected anyway and I havent had issues with my HDD.

    Originally this drive was the 2nd drive. I had plugged it in to see if I could install windows with both drives plugged in but I ended up unplugging my hdd and using that sata cord for the ssd just to be safe. Could that have set it to drive 2 messed with something?

    Reinstalling again as instructed earlier brings me back to the final picture.

    Do not use Rufus.  Rufus will only create media for one or the other, Media creation tool creates media for both UEFI and CSM.

    It should be uefi then. The uefi install drive runs and the legacy one doesn't. I'll try running an image for legacy from rufus just in case it happens to work. I've installed windows from scratch many times before and I've never run into this issue. It seems like all the files are on my ssd but yet the pc will not boot from it.

    This is indeed a samsung s700 pro ssd running on an asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 board. The firmware version is 2501, the newest I could find. I'm starting to wonder if maybe the drive is just not compatible with my motherboard but that doesn't make sense to me. It should be, and even if it wasn't compatible then I wouldn't get anywhere near finishing the installation off the usb drive.

    I notice right away that you have the SATA controllers disabled for all but an eSATA drive on PORT 5.. Is there such a drive built-in that you may not know about? Physically check all ports to make sure only the SSD is plugged into SATA 1 port which is set only to AHCI.

    Then disable eSATA in port 5, enable AHCI only on Port 1 then make sure your SSD is plugged into it only.

    This was hinted at by your Drive appearing as Disk2 which for a lone drive is usually indicative of a wrong setting.

    Then change back to UEFI, make sure SATA settings remain set correctly and boot UEFI media.

    I see a setting for DirectKey Enabled that's also possibly wrong, diverting that key into BIOS.  What are choices?
