Why is Microsoft providing wrong codebase updates for an Intel based cpu machine running Microsoft Windows Professional 10 and acting like a virus?

Microsoft Windows Professional 10 was using a 64 bit intel chip was downloading only AMD64 updates. I am still receiving these in reference to 1809 update and have to reboot into safe mode and remove the contents of the directory every time the delay ticker is met to stop a 16 hour update cycle with a 52% install and the a forced return to the previous version as the update is trying to apply AMD code to my windows installation on an Intel 64bit processor. Does anyone have a hack on this ticker to reset it at startup to zero so the delay stays in force?

I telephoned Microsoft on number above +443448002400  for 11:38 mins  at 11:38am with regard to this matter which they seem to have given the reference SRX1469171513ID as I had not received a post on this forum to state that Microsoft was aware of this matter from my telephone call yesterday . This technician passed my call to a service manager who stated he understood that I was talking to him about a serious error but could not help without creating yet another service request under the telephone log.

Even when I explained that there was more than twenty service calls with the chat service  since January 2019.

I am feeling inclined to post this recording of this telephone call as I do not think this manager was helpful at all. If Microsoft responds stating its is aware of this serious error with there Microsoft Update Server platform and state it is looking into the problems that the users are having disabling this service. Then this will not be posted.

    Kind Regards

    Martin Newbold

I was expecting a solution from Microsoft to stop this madness  every seven days of continual rebooting into Safe Mode and then deleting the contents of Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder and then pressing delay on reboot to only get seven days  of free from wrong codebase update being sent out . I have already spoken at length and lodged many documents to no affect. It seem to me that Microsoft must be exercising this deliberately. There is no other reason for this behavior having been notified that their Windows Update has been flawed since January this year

Yet again more than four months later after notify Microsoft of these problems by telephone and chat they have done nothing to correct this serious flaw in the deployment of its server to Windows Professionals machines running windows 10 with  a non AMD processor  I REPEAT I DO NOT HAVE AN AMD BUT AN INTEL. Wonder how many people are having there time deleting this infectious code from their PC in the Windows\Software Distribution folder?

The update is still applicable nonetheless. The error you are getting refers to your partition being corrupted and that it has to be formatted.

See these articles as to why the update is applicable to your computer

    https://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/feature/2262881/amd-brought-64bit-to-x86-10-years-ago-today

    https://www.tenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/98062-update-wanting-download-amd64-bit-cumulative-version-help.html

AMD was the first to release x64 so yeah.
