Why is Microsoft providing wrong codebase updates for an Intel based cpu machine running Microsoft Windows Professional 10 and acting like a virus?

Microsoft Windows Professional 10 was using a 64 bit intel chip was downloading only AMD64 updates. I am still receiving these in reference to 1809 update and have to reboot into safe mode and remove the contents of the directory every time the delay ticker is met to stop a 16 hour update cycle with a 52% install and the a forced return to the previous version as the update is trying to apply AMD code to my windows installation on an Intel 64bit processor. Does anyone have a hack on this ticker to reset it at startup to zero so the delay stays in force?

    Wonders if Microsoft is no longer fixing errors with Windows professional 10?  It sure does feel like no one is listening any more! All they want to do is run a remote session; like its going to solve the problem, when I have already informed them that the registry keys that they are inspecting in their Software update app to determine what to download which is downloaded from their server to my distribution directory in Windows home 10 do not exist in Windows Professional 10. It is then clueless knowing what to download . Can someone please inform me who is writing this rubbish update code which is becoming very frustrating.

    ALL 64-bit architecture including Intel is called AMD64 because AMD introduced it. It's like calling generic ibuprofen Advil. So those updates are correct for your machine.

    I have spoken to Editha C his afternoon on the chat system she was unable to resolve any of these difficulties and i do not think she understood the serious error which I as trying to explain to her . I eventually gave up and said it was a waste of time talking to her as she was clueless in regard to what i was discussing.

    As Dave has already reply to you 4/2 that all 64 bit (x64) processors (Intel and AMD) are using architecture called amd64 originally developed by AMD.

    MS has only change the way they code the names of these updates and that's why all users see that "amd64" as a part of patch name. Just click Restart and let it update you OS.
