Disable Windows 10 automatic restart after updates

Is there any REAL way to disable this cancer feature?

This is not the first time i have lost unsaved work due to this annoying function, that almost every Windows user hates.

I'm trying to behave, but it is really hard to keep calm after loosing unsaved work multiple times.

Why is it that Windows cannot just wait until the user decides to restart at a convenient time? It's not like the end of the world that users doesn't restart at a specific time.

In a time where Apple's Mac is already "stealing" a lot of Windows customers, it is a very risky (and dumb) feature to add to Windows.

This alone is very difficult to argue against in a Mac vs. Windows discussion.

Luckily (for Microsoft) Microsoft have secured themselves from a law suit in their policy.

MS knows that all Windows users hates this feature, and yet they still have it. WHY?

So back to the question. Is there any official/unofficial way (FOR GOOD)  that allows me to disable this annoying feature?

I tried following some tutorials on YouTube, but little did it help obviously, as i just came home and found my computer restarted, and my work deleted.

    This is what happened to me, I have Laptops running at a remote location and this BS just caused one of my remote computers to force restart even after I tried all these numerous hacks to stop it

    These control freaks in their corporate offices at Microsoft don't give a damn about this inconvenience caused to little people... now I'm going to have to wait a day to have someone come and restart Anydesk on the remote computer or reconnect the Wifi (Even though I have that program set as a startup program and internet always reconnects when in range when router is rebooted remotely)

    The updates go in and mess with your Wifi settings as well (B*stards)

    If I can in future Im going to switch to Linux, no way Im putting up with this

    Which bird brain at MS came up with the farcical behavior of forced re-start?

    This is not forced upon users of windows server software, why should windows 10 users be treated like low life plebs?

    Some of the pathetic replies on here are annoying and obstructive.

    Get this sorted out officially Microsoft.

    You are wrong sir, Linux never did that to me in 20 years. I understand that the features does need a reboot to be processed but those features can wait. I should be the boss, not the features. I want them, I want to be up to date but I should be the one in charge of when stuff happens.

    Just so you understand what is my problem I need to leave some excel files open all day long and every time it reboot it breaks the whole thing. Files get to be repaired and guess what ? Excel breaks them a little more while repairing them.
