KB4493509 fails to install

Hello everyone,

this is the first update since upgrade to 1809 that fails to install. I tried everything. Manual downloading, but even manual installing at the end just shows message, that the update couldn't be installed, without any errors. At Windows Update, it's shown an error 0x800f0982. I've done sfc /scannow, no corrupted files. I've done Restorehealth etc, and the error is still there. This is the first time that has happened to me. So should I wait for next update? Or what to do?

    What? What does this dll have to do with Windows Update? I am not opening a program( .exe ) which shows me that error of dll missing?

    I also have Asus vivobook 15 R542UQ-DM153  (x542uq bios )

    250GB M.2 SSD + 2TB HDD + 1TB  HDD.

    I see no FAQ there that specifically mentions a Windows Update problem. Check whether your drivers are equal or greater in version than what is there. But I don't see many drivers beyond a 2017 date there. Also, you may have to download, unpack, & click Setup.exe to update a driver - instead of just clicking the download like I can. And I pity you, if ever you must boot a USB drive. It doesn't look like an easy thing on that machine. The FAQ on it is scary.

    Do you have MyASUS? See the articles in the FAQs about it. Maybe that can update you.

    I checked, and I am positive that there is something wrong with these updates. Maybe is in my laptop in Windows update some error or smth. I have now 17763. 404 version of 1809 Windows. I will wait when 1903 will start rolling out and then I will try to upgrade.
