KB4493509 fails to install

Hello everyone,

this is the first update since upgrade to 1809 that fails to install. I tried everything. Manual downloading, but even manual installing at the end just shows message, that the update couldn't be installed, without any errors. At Windows Update, it's shown an error 0x800f0982. I've done sfc /scannow, no corrupted files. I've done Restorehealth etc, and the error is still there. This is the first time that has happened to me. So should I wait for next update? Or what to do?

    boot  with windows into safe mode  with networking , then extract kb4493509  using 7.zip software  then find  .cab file  

    then  try with this  command 

    Dism.exe /Online /Add-Package /Packagepath:C:\windows10.0-kb4493509-x64.cab

    after finished , restart the windows

    I didn't try clean boot. I will try this tomorrow. 

    In instruction for clean boot, in task manager which unnecessary services I need to disable? It's kind of confusing.

    That depends on what you have installed, try disabling the 3rd party ones that you don't use or don't want to start automatically with Windows.

    @MonikaPetek       What original steps did you take to update? Was it, click on Start>Settings>Update and Security>Check for Updates? If you did this and updates showed did you wait for them to download and install, then restart  your computer when prompted or set a time to restart?
